Re: st Pauls from tangs last saturday

No Marky ... i have nerves of steel    default/big_smile   ... i did have my tripod with me but felt a bit of a geek , if you know what i mean , so i didnt use it ... im new to taking photos so im just going steady away ... im s/hot on a CNC machine tool .. but i still cant get my head around the complexity of a machine so small , i get bored reading books and manuals , so im gonna suss it out my way .. its my project for this year

Re: st Pauls from tangs last saturday

We are one and the same then Walt.....  i was trying to get some good shots of the moon a couple of weeks back....read a bit on the net about settings.... but ultimately just went out back and played till i got something half good...   all this ISO this and Apature that just baffles me.... but i want to use more than just the auto modes

Re: st Pauls from tangs last saturday

I know that same full moon ... i did the same  and went on doggy park to get a good picture ... but i pressed something and on the screen came something like aperture priority .. i couldnt get it off so i came home and missed it

Re: st Pauls from tangs last saturday

This was the best i got that night from the back garden...  camera was on a little 6 inch tripod and i set it to go off on a 10 sec timer.... it's not bad but when i zoom into it with software it's nothing like what i've seen others get.... perhaps i'm asking too much of the camera... again being a novice i've no idea,,, it's all good fun though, and why i love digital.... you can just click away  default/big_smile

Re: st Pauls from tangs last saturday

I thought it looked good that the traffic was busy. it helps put a visual date stamp on it if you know what I mean.
