and all down to religion
Re: Sikh judge criticises dagger bans
I've written a strongly worded letter to the Pope demanding that the Catholic Church returns to its former values. So be warned that from next Monday there will be a new inquisition and the burning of heretics will follow.

Re: Sikh judge criticises dagger bans
Do scotsmen carry dirks tucked into their stockings when wearing kilts, i am sure they do and cermonial do's, pipe bands and weddings. Do soldiers marching carrying rifles and pistols have any bullets in the magazines, they have bayonets dont they when on cermonial duties, never seen a guardsman with cartridge belts round his neck and grenades hanging from there belts at buck house or Windsor, i asked two policmen at Gatwick airport to present arms for inspection once so i could check if they were ready for action and not just posing to that effect, and did they carry rubber bullet and tear gas, tazors or pepper spray, they must have tought i was a nutter and put me on the flight out saving a 4 hour wait.
Re: Sikh judge criticises dagger bans
Ridge, I think a bit of ceremonial marching is a different issue to the one first given.
Isn't it a criminal offence in this Country for anyone to carry a blade longer than four or six inches in a public place ? Its called a dangerous weapon
this inarticulate Judge was on the Today programme this morning and he rambled to a point of confusion. The old chap should be taken to a place of safety where he can cause no further harm.

me amused for many days to come
Many thanks Exile
Re: Sikh judge criticises dagger bans
Has any Sikh ever been in trouble for using their dagger as a weapon?
I'm undecided on this one?
does it matter?
with the country going through such a strong spate of knife crime, why should anyone be exempt from the law?
Re: Sikh judge criticises dagger bans
they should be allowed on one condition - on the end of these dagger thingys, they have a giant pickled onion and a block of cheese.

Was going to say almost the same thing then read you beat me to it..
@ SG you should see the amount of knifes/sharpes we find on the buses every day, why people feel the need to carry this sort of things onto any form of transport where there are X amount of other people there is well beyond me.
@ Rebel, Monty python was who I was thinking off.

Snap to that, we find them on the trains all the time... and its such a pain in the backside cause everyone of them requires paperwork and waiting for BTP...
