Whereabouts in Shaw did you go Ejay.  At the moment I am stuck using a heavy garden shovel which doesn't do any favours for my back!

It would be good to get a decent snow shovel so that I can clear the snow just after it lands and hasn't had a chance to compact and form into ice.

We could also do with the council emptying the grit bins of that gravel they put in there a few weeks ago.  I put some down on the road / pavement a couple of days ago and it just turns into a dirty muddy puddle and doesn't really help with preventing ice forming.

Now that the stock levels are back up to normal (or at least they should be!) then we could do with the grit bins being filled with grit again.  There has been some fairly bad frosts recently and the roads have been very slippy.

The other day when you drove passed me I couldn't get the passenger door open as it was frozen.  I had to get the missus to sit in the back seat like a passenger in a taxi

When it starts snowing again she will be outside B&Q selling them for £30 each

they might rename ebay as ejay

We got them on the main thoroughfare - One for Clutter;
One for me; and One for whichever of the lads is available, so
that we can do the front and back the ginnel is dreadful

The shops are next to and also opposite Boots the Chemist

I bought one in Uppermill £9.95 Black with a very sturdy wooden handle..came from the South of England so there.

Got mine from Shaw today with handle firmly attached. Got my Ejay bulk buyers discount as well.

So I expect to see you all out shoveling the snow when it comes

Snow its a fad we will not get any for another 20 - 30 years so the experts say

'tis too easy to forget once the snow has cleared
but the 24" of Snow in the States that was predicted
to fall again up to 30" turned out to be a 36" record
